FINALLY, the last week has been my favorite kind of fall day..... COLD and SUNNY!! I love Love LOVE those days!!!
Today it's raining. Trees are dripping tears onto the ground, grieving the leaves they are about to lose and the warmth of the sun that sustained their gorgeous green tresses all spring and summer. With those tears they are slowly undressing, tossing their colorful apparel to the ground in preparation of their winter naps. It's all sad & beautiful at the same time.
My fireplace is lit and the room is quiet. Just the ticking of the clock. It's a happy/sad kind of peaceful.
