PP warning: this is another 2fer... A double sided pet peeve to which you just cannot please me. Oh well, there are some that believe that is impossible anyway! 
Pet Peeve 013 is that I can't find my favorite bakery here in Kentucky. I really REALLY want to go to Kneaders for their yummy warm raspberry bread pudding. MMMMmmm.... I can just about taste it!! I have found a couple of local bakeries here but not a Kneaders or even a Paradise Cafe type bakery. We have Panera but it's just not really even close. The local bakeries are very sugary and both offer 'fried danishes.' Now I love my sweets - obviously - but fried danish? OMHeck, it's a heart attack waiting to happen! I just want me some good ol' bread puddin'.......
Flip side of this pp 013? I really hate it when I am traveling and EVERYTHING is the same as where I just came from. All the same strip malls with all the same chain stores selling all the same brands. Nothing is original anymore. I long to go on a road trip where I discover fantastic mom & pop establishments made famous by their very own secret recipes or crafts or designs or whatevers. I have to admit to feeling comfort when I see my starbucks everywhere, but I don't have to see McDonalds, Target, Wal-Mart, Macy's, etc. everywhere I go do I? I've been to a lot of the largest cities in this country and many small ones, too. Why do they all have to be the same, slowly giving up their personalities?
Okay, it's a 2fer. I can't have it both ways but I want it both ways... so sue me!
